Helix House: A Celebration of New Haven’s Resale Community and the Launch of Helix
Helix Launches at Yale University, Introducing a New Platform for Fashion Resale
City-first resale marketplace transforms garments into “living archives,” connecting communities through storytelling, care, and reuse.
New Haven, CT — Helix, a new fashion resale marketplace, will officially launch at Yale University on April 17.
Founded by twin sisters Maya Caine (Yale School of the Environment MEM ’26) and Mica Caine (MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning ’26), Helix draws on their expertise in life-affirming fashion, resource stewardship, and local economic development to restore meaning, longevity, and local value creation to clothing.
Helix will launch through a public activation, Helix House, at Yale University. The event will serve as both a launch and a celebration of New Haven’s resale community, showcasing the first cohort of local sellers on the platform.
The event will feature a curated flea market of New Haven’s best vintage and secondhand clothing, alongside an upcycling workshop, a repair café, and flash talks from community members exploring how communities can steward clothing across its many lives.
