Advoca-Zines Workshop: Hosted with Hamden SEPTA

Join us for a workshop, inspired by the art/work of Jennifer White-Johnson, focused on creating Advoca-Zines! Advoca-Zines are zines created to communicate our needs and preferences to others. They hold great potential for supporting young people to inform their loved ones, teachers and peers about their particular needs and preferences, so they can be most successful in social situations. They are an opportunity for creative expression, artistic production, authentic empowerment, and strategic self-advocacy.

Attendees of all ages are welcome. Young folks are especially encouraged to attend.

This event, co-hosted with Hamden SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Association), is free and all necessary materials will be provided at no cost.
