Dog Adoption on Broadway Island

Meet your new best friend at the Dog Adoption event on Broadway Island at The Shops at Yale on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 12–3 p.m. Spend the day connecting with adorable, adoptable dogs while learning about pet adoption and responsible animal care. Hosted in partnership with the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter and North Shore Animal League America, this welcoming outdoor event offers the opportunity to meet rescue organizations and discover animals seeking loving homes.

Make it a fun day for the whole family with complimentary kettle corn and Italian ice, live music by New Haven Jazz Underground, free caricatures for owners and their dogs by JT Art & Design, and free all-day parking at the 150 York Street Garage with validation at the event.
