Back to school is always rough on family budgets and we want to make sure everyone's kids start off school year with the clothes and bags they need!


Like our Transforming Closet for adults, we'll be sorting and giving away clothes, just in smaller sizes this time! You are free to take as many clothes as you need! We will also have backpack and messenger bags available.


Donations can be dropped off the night before, from 6-8PM


We'll also have some snacks and coloring available to help entertain kids while you look through items

The American Oystercatcher eats mostly (you guessed it) oysters, as well as clams and mussels. Join us to build and decorate your own recycled wood Oystercatcher model to take home, then join in a scavenger hunt. For kids up to 10 years accompanied by a participating adult. Pre-registration required. This program is held at the Birdcraft Museum and Sanctuary, 314 Unquowa Road, Fairfield, CT. Birdcraft Family Days are sponsored by Richard Wrightman Design.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid brings life to a heartwarming tale filled with humor, heart, and

magic and is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale and Disney’s animated

classic. With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and book

by Doug Wright, the show features such timeless songs as “Part of Your World,” “Under the

Sea,” and “Kiss the Girl.”

A professional cast and creative team brings the Magic of Broadway to you. Show runs 2 hours

and 30 minutes with intermission. Performances Friday evening plus Saturday and Sunday

Note: For younger children, STONC offers a 1 hour abridged Junior version of Disney’s The

Little Mermaid. It is performed on the main stage set by STONC’s Junior Company of middle

school age students. One performance on July 24 th at 3pm.

About The Summer Theatre of New Canaan:

Now in its 22nd season, the Summer Theatre of New Canaan (STONC) is a non-profit

professional theatre company dedicated to enriching the community through high-quality,

family-friendly award-winning productions, education programs and community outreach. Each

summer, STONC presents a diverse lineup featuring top talent from Broadway and beyond.

STONC’s educational programs include the Albert L. Perry III College Internships, Pre-College

Theatre Lab, and Junior Company, providing training and performance opportunities for students

from elementary through college. The company is also proud of its acclaimed DramaRama

program for children with special needs, and the Bennack-Polan School Touring Program, which

brings live theatre and arts education into area schools.

Join Greenwich Historical Society for Rediscover Greenwich: Greenwich Avenue Walking Tours this summer! Historic buildings will become canvases for large-scale murals featuring archival images of what those places looked like in the past, with text and images drawn from the Historical Society’s collections and interactive QR codes, that when scanned, share those unique stories. The murals, designed by Untapped New York’s artist Aaron Asis, will debut in conjunction with a new series of guided walking tours exploring the history of Greenwich Avenue and its local businesses led by Justin Rivers, Untapped New York’s Chief Experience Officer and Christopher Shields, Historical Society Director of Library and Archives.

Food trucks, raffle, activities for kids, state and federal elected officials,

AND our local 2025 candidates


Admission tickets: $5 per person, Children under 5 free

Raffle tickets: $ 5.00 per ticket, $20.00 for 5 tickets


Join us for an afternoon with like-minded friends to meet our new slate of municipal candidates and mingle with state and local elected officials. A large raffle and kids' games keep it fun while we raise some funds to get our local Democrats elected to town office. Food trucks from Community Shellfish, Notch 8, and Jessie's Ice Cream will be there with Tony's famous Tipsy Tailgate beverage truck.


The Bethel Democratic Town Committee is hosting the afternoon to fund our slate of candidates for the 2025 election, supporting our mission to elect Democrats to leadership positions in Bethel.
