Snuggle up to a great book at Pajama Storytime! Roll out of bed and head to the Barney Library to join Miss Shana & Miss Amy for a special storytime.

Pajamas are encouraged, but not required. Perfect for preschool aged children, siblings welcome!

This special summer reading celebration is designed for families of youth with sensory needs who are not as comfortable in the crowded and noisy environment associated with the traditional summer reading kick-off event. Come and celebrate the beginning of our summer reading program by connecting with other families and learning about what the Farmington Libraries have to offer. Then enjoy some summer-themed crafts and sensory play activities. Every individual who registers for summer reading at this event will receive a sweet treat!

Adventure Awaits at The Farmington Libraries Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM!

Bring your dinner, a blanket, and/or some lawn chairs, and join us outside while DJ Red Supreme spins music and leads dances. Didn't pack a picnic dinner? No problem! Paki Taco and Craftbird food trucks will be selling food on site.

We will have a special visit from Dillon, the furry green mascot for soccer team the Hartford Athletic.

There will also be lawn games and tables with activities for all ages! No registration is required. In the event of inclement weather, the party will be moved indoors. See you there!

Join us as we explore music and dance during Swiftie Summer, expand our imaginations during Enchanted Explorers, or be our authentic selves during Bee Brilliant! Campers will spend their days participating in engaging activities, meeting special guests, building their confidence, learning new skills and on Wednesdays, campers will venture off campus for exciting and enriching field trips. Reflect, recharge & tap into the divine feminine energy of the moon

Monthly on Fridays before or after the full moon (no circle in Aug or Sept). 

Join us for our monthly Moon Circle, a sacred gathering where we come together to reflect, recharge, and tap into the divine feminine energy of the moon. In this intimate, candlelit circle, you’ll find a nurturing space for deep connection, meaningful reflection, energetic release and intention setting for the upcoming moon cycle.

Group activities include:

• Opening invocation
• Discussion with partners/in group (joys and challenges over last moon cycle)
• Learning about the current moon cycle/what it means for you
• Energy center (chakra) balancing with gentle movement
