Description

Celebrate summer with printmaking in the sunshine! Join the Center for Contemporary Printmaking for a FREE drop-in Cyanotype Workshop on Saturday, July 25, from 1:00–3:00 PM. This family-friendly, open-house style event invites visitors of all ages and experience levels to discover one of the oldest and most magical photographic printmaking processes.

Cyanotype is a camera-less printing technique that uses sunlight to create brilliant Prussian blue images. Participants will arrange leaves, flowers, stencils, or other objects on specially coated paper and expose them to the summer sun. After a simple water rinse, your design is revealed as a striking blue-and-white print to take home.

We’ll be printing outdoors (weather permitting) to make the most of the summer sunshine, making this the perfect opportunity to explore a creative process inspired by nature and light.

All paper and materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Drop in anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 PM to create your own unique cyanotype print.

Free and open to the public. While walk-ins are welcome, RSVP is recommended to receive event reminders and updates.

Come enjoy an afternoon of creativity, sunshine, and printmaking with us!
