Children aged 0-3 and their caregivers to invited to enjoy time in the Museum galleries for some art and history fun while practicing developmental, social, and mobility skills- all while the museum is closed to the public! A museum educator will facilitate storytime and 30 minutes of playtime in the galleries with an opportunity to mingle with other parents and caregivers.

Gather in downtown Waterbury for a day of wonders and wizardry! After picking up a free "magic map" from Minuteman Press, attendees can visit up to 25 downtown businesses and other locations. Each location has a "clue" to help solve the map's mystery! They also generally have other prizes, activities, sweets, treats or potions for free or sale. There will also be scheduled magic shows and a few surprises! Costumes, wands and pointy hats highly-encouraged! The next day, Saturday July 26th, the fun continues as The Mattatuck Museum hosts its own Harry Potter celebrations! More information forthcoming at www.facebook.com/waterburyharrypotterday
