Description

Jordan Freeman, a native of Old Lyme, Connecticut, witnessed key events of the war for independence. His story is brought to life by Kevin Johnson, an employee of the Connecticut State Library’s Department of History and Genealogy. Johnson’s portrayal of Freeman is told from an emotional and exciting first-person perspective that vividly illustrates the struggle of African Americans during the Revolutionary War.
