Bonnie Kozek - Life ²

A solo exhibition by artist Bonnie Kozek, Life Squared explores the intersection of numbers, language, and symbolism through an inventive use of diverse materials. Drawing on alphanumeric systems that assign numerical values to letters and words, Kozek transforms these esoteric concepts into compelling visual works on paper and canvas.

Many of the pieces are structured around grids, each carrying its own symbolic significance, while others move beyond these frameworks, allowing recurring themes to unfold in more fluid ways. As Kozek explains, “Life to the power of two—Life Squared—is simply life times itself.”

Rich with color, pattern, texture, and meaning, the exhibition invites viewers to engage on multiple levels. Whether drawn to the visual beauty of the work or the deeper ideas woven throughout, audiences will find the exhibition both accessible and rewarding.
