A member? Or curious about this non-partisan political group? Join us for an evening of reflecting on our past year, setting goals for the year to come and learning who is our scholarship winner. The League’s scholarship application follows with our mission: to encourage informed participation in our democracy. Any public high school senior in Litchfield County was invited to respond to: make an appeal to your peers on the importance of voting. The response could be a written essay, or a short 2-4 minute video. Over 20 applications were received.

We will also spend a few minutes learning about Maggie Brown, the suffragist that was the inspiration for our 2025 scarecrow in the meadow.

We hope you will join us for a fun evening of connecting individual who value informed participation in our democracy, even when we don’t all agree. Democracy is NOT a Spectator Sport.
