Story Time
The Gunn Museum and Makerspace present a series of craft workshops inspired by artifacts from the Museum's collections.
July’s workshop is all about vintage games! See some examples of board games from the museum’s collection, learn about their history, and make a small tray using recycled playing cards and paper folding techniques. All supplies will be provided; however, you may also bring your own pack of playing cards for the craft.

Join us in the Conference Room for our monthly Fun Fiction Book Club! Refreshments and Ice Breaker Game from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm. 7:00 pm we start chatting about the book! This program is free and open to the public. No registration required! The book is available at the Circulation Desk. Refreshments provided by The Friends of The Thomaston Public Library. We will be reading The Selection by Kiera Cass.
Fun Fiction Book Club
Discover the flowers, birds, and butterflies of Deer Pond Farm with Sanctuary Manager / Naturalist Lori Lichtenauer. Starting in our pollinator garden, we will discuss the phenology (seasonal cycles) of native flowering plants and how this impacts the insect and bird communities. Then we will explore the life in and around our nature preserve!

Bird & Nature Walk at Deer Pond Farm Nature Preserve
This workshop will cover the fundamentals of wheel throwing with an emphasis on individual experimentation and expressive design. Explore surface techniques such as sgraffito, slip trailing and glaze applications.
