This 2.5 hour forum is the perfect place for mature women & women of all ages & experience to learn how to create a MakeUp style that compliments their personal features & skin tone. We will explore products & tools & ‘must haves’ for your personal makeup collection. You will participate in ‘hands-on’ makeup demonstrations & leave knowing that with a little practice you can perfect your personal appearance for all occasions.

For the first year, we will be hosting a summer market located at Franklin Plaza on the same nights as our Summer Concert Series. Renowned cartographer and artist Scott Reinhard will discuss his current installation at David M. Hunt Library featuring a 16-foot long map of the Northwest Corner. The maps were created using USGS elevation data and rendered literally and as colorful abstracts printed on 24x24-inch Tyvek and cyanotype paper.

Come check out the Torrington Recreations 2025 Summer Concert Series at Coe Park! Over the course of 14 weeks, every Thursday, starting June 5th and running through September 4th, we will be hosting 14 different bands who will perform a range of different genres. Concerts will be held on the outside portico at the Coe Memorial Park (101 Litchfield Road) from 6pm-8pm. Bring your blankets, chairs, food and drinks to enjoy our concerts in the park!

Join renowned French folk artist Marie Colette DuPont-Nivet for an exclusive four-day workshop at Husky Meadows Farm in Norfolk, CT this June. This immersive experience offers an intensive introduction to painting with casein, commonly known as “milk paint.” You’ll learn to make natural pigments and a variety of casein-based painting techniques under Marie Colette’s expert guidance of this ancient medium.

Beyond the studio, enjoy guided foraging hikes and garden tours, intimate artistic discussions, daily farm-fresh meals, evening cocktails, and a concert under the stars. Enjoy the serene landscapes, the company of artists, and freshly grown produce at the farm this summer.

The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens is pleased to present Just Passing Through, an art exhibition by Brooke Hirsheimer, on view beginning Friday, June 6.

An opening reception will be held at the park on Saturday, June 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Brooke Hirsheimer is a contemporary mixed media artist whose work explores the whimsical and grounding relationship between humans and the natural world. Her playful yet introspective style combines color and abstraction, reminding us that we’re all here navigating a beautiful and wild planet.
