Bring a blanket, or fold out chair, and sit on our lawn while we learn all about horses! Operation Hold Your Horses, from Harwinton, is bringing two ponies to the library to help us learn. Families will be able to pet and take pictures with the animals after the presentation. All ages. No registration needed. If there is bad weather, we will try to move the program to another date.

Unique photography exhibit showcasing over 70 captivating photos from local artist Maura Salvati. Artist recepion is Sunday May 18th from 2 till 5 at the Harwinton Library; all are welcome. Exhibit will be open during library hours May 5th through June. All pieces are available for purchase and 20% of all sales benefit the library.

Come anytime between 11am and 12pm on Saturday the 21st of June to see a real firetruck and the Harwinton firefighters! Touch the truck, sit in the truck, and check out some firefighter gear! See the flashing lights! Ask the firemen any questions you might have and learn about what it means to be a firefighter! (all are welcome, not just dads) For kids of all ages.
