Meet the artist - Adam Peiffer

Meet the artist, Adam Peiffer and his paintings of portraits and landscapes.

Adam Peiffer was born in 1985 in New London CT. He earned a bachelor’s degree in painting in 2007 from the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. In 2008, he moved to New York City to paint in the studios of Jeff Koons, Frank Brunner and Ken Solomon. During this time, he created large scale contemporary paintings in both oil and watercolor that exhibited in New York and Germany. In a change of direction, Peiffer then took a position as an art handler at Sotheby’s auction house where he installed countless exhibitions of important and high-value works of art from all periods of art history. In 2018, he began painting portraits professionally with major commissions in Belgium and Mexico. His portraits of the Prince and Princess of Chimay hang in the foyer of their ancestral castle in Belgium. He and his wife Esme now live in Pawling, NY where he continues to paint landscapes and portraits and installs artwork for private clients.
