Community Self-Portraits: Then & Now

Join Gunn Museum curator Amy Campanaro and Junior Library's Miss Ashley to learn about our Town’s history and past residents. Imagine yourself as Major William and Anna Cogswell, Frederick Gunn or Daniel Brinsmade. Would you vision yourself as a farmer, blacksmith or carriage maker? After learning about our Town’s past, draw a self-portrait.

Can’t attend the April 4th program? The Giant Room Station will be available during library hours to create your own portraits through April 25th.

GIANT Remix blends storytelling, design, and STEM, helping libraries publish kids’ ideas in real, shareable ways. From character cards to illustrated books, every project amplifies the imagination of your local youth and strengthens connections across your community. Through a generous grant from Giant Room, CSL, every participant will be given a trading card created from their portraits.
