Free Paper Shredding Event

Join RiverCOG for a Free Residential Paper Shredding Event on April 25th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at 20 Gildersleeve Dr, East Hampton, CT 06424.

Residents of RiverCOG region towns are welcome to participate, including: Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Middlefield, Middletown, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland, and Westbrook.

Please bring proof of residency such as a driver’s license, tax bill, or other identification. There is NO charge for residents.

Bring up to 5 bags (paper bags preferred) or boxes (file/paper box size) of confidential documents for secure shredding.

Accepted materials:

• Confidential documents containing personal information

• Staples are okay

Please do NOT bring:

• Envelopes, greeting cards, magazines, junk mail, or other non-confidential papers (these can be recycled at home)

• Bound materials or 3-ring binders

• CDs or other non-paper materials
