Get ready for the 16th Annual Farmington River Run 5K Trail Race, taking place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the picturesque town of Farmington, Connecticut! Set amidst the stunning natural beauty of Winding Trails, this exciting race promises an invigorating experience as participants navigate the designated 5K trail encircling the scenic Walton Pond. The event kicks off with registration at 9 AM, followed by the race starting at 10 AM, making it a perfect morning of fitness and fun.
Runners of all skill levels are encouraged to join in the excitement, with awards up for grabs for the top male and female finishers, as well as recognition in various age groups including 18 & Under, 19-49, and 50 and above. Additionally, the prestigious Lee Chisholm Award will honor the first male and female finishers from Farmington. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, enjoy the great outdoors, and be part of a vibrant community event!
A Waiver and Release must be signed for all runners at sign-in. For those under 18 years of age, the waiver must be signed by an adult. At the event, Rotary will also collect food donations of boxed or canned items for the Farmington Food Pantry, where they will be available to those in need.
The Rotary Club of Farmington is a non-profit service organization and helps to fund a variety of projects supported by this Trail Race event, including scholarships for graduating Farmington students and a variety of requests from other charitable, humanitarian and community organizations. Through its membership in Rotary International, the Farmington club’s support also extends throughout the world.

Join us for a quiet workshop involving a guided Pranayama (regulation of the breath through certain techniques and exercises) followed by a gentle 15 minute meditation. The remainder of the time will be used to create Mandala shapes or to journal.

Adolescence is a time of self-discovery, but for many girls, it’s also a time of self-doubt, social pressure, and difficulty setting boundaries. This 6-week closed group for girls ages 14-16 is designed to help participants strengthen their sense of self, develop assertiveness, and navigate friendships and family expectations with confidence. Participants will benefit from a small group setting that combines structured activities to explore their narratives with open space to process their feelings. Snacks are provided and members will leave with skills to uphold their resilience and emotional wellbeing.
-What participants should bring: All supplies are provided! Participants should bring a desire for growth and meeting like minded people.
-Event Fee: $25 per session ($150 total) to either be paid weekly or in full before the first session (10% discount applies when paying in full). The mandatory intake fee is $40.

A gentle Yoga practice for those with back issues, those with knee replacements or seek improved stability at the hip and shoulder joints. This also benefits those who seek to mindfully slow the nervous system.

Date and time: Wednesdays, 10-11:15am
Resilience Yoga will help you develop a strong and flexible spine, feel ease in your joints, and be steady in balance. This class features breath centered movements adapted for all levels of participation.
Each class includes movements/postures to strengthen hip and shoulder stability, breathing exercises and use of some props to allow for modifications and adjustments if needed. You will practice movements in a chair, standing, prone, kneeling and supine.
People who would benefit would include the following:

60th Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon
The Lewis Walpole Library's latest exhibition has been curated by Alison FitzGerald, Associate Professor in the Department of History, Maynooth University, Ireland. Open Wednesdays 2-4:30 pm and other times by appointment. On view March 5 through August 22, 2025.
This exhibition explores the range of spectacular shows that were offered to the fee-paying public in Georgian London, from exhibitions of paintings, to scientific demonstrations, to the display of wondrous animals. The exhibition primarily focuses on images drawn from the extensive collections at the Lewis Walpole Library that announce, depict and satirize what people paid to gaze at. It will consider how derogatory ideas about spectacle were expressed in caricatures and political discourse.

About Julieanne: Julieanne lives in Barkhamsted where she has been
practicing her shamanism for thirty years. Her twenty-five
years as a Mesa carrier, studying with the Peruvian Q’eros,
working with people of diverse Medicine Ways, she brings a
vast amount of wisdom and energy to all she offers.
Julieanne would like to create a community of open minded,
creative thinkers, people who lead with the heart and can
envision a new way of being.

Jill Kovalich is the Founder of the unique online hub, SoloAgersConnect.com, for Solo Agers to easily find information, services, and resources they need, connect to a Facebook community with similar interests, and develop friendships. Solo Agers include people fifty and older who are navigating the challenges of aging without the support of a spouse or partner, children, or family nearby. She is also a Solo Ager with a positive outlook on aging and life.

Entrances and Parking is in the back. Driveway is right next to the big white sign that says "304 Main Street". Parking is in the first 3 parking areas to the right. Use the entrance closest to first parking area (it’s in the corner of the building). Follow signs to Hope Studio.
Solo Agers Connections & Coffee Social Hour
Raise a glass and step back in time at the Unionville Museum's exhibit, "Unionville Bars, Taverns & Spirits," running May 18th - July 27th. This special exhibit highlights the nostalgic history of Unionville's favorite gathering spots and watering holes, from past to present, showcasing historical artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia of the Unionville's favorite past and present gathering spots. Learn about Prohibition, view a stunning collection of vintage 20th-century cocktail shakers and barware, and learn stories from the former Hotel Worthy, Unionville tavern and more. The museum is located at 15 School Street, Unionville and open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.
