Crafty Art for Kids
This class will give students the fun of playing the guitar, and with Musical Associates’ methods, a beginner learns how to play a tune in the very first lesson! Students will have the opportunity to perform for each other and for their parents in a recital at the end of the year.
All genres of music will be included as part of the program so that students get a well-rounded artistic experience. The music club will pick up where school music programs leave off, a chance for students to get that extra attention and increased opportunity to perform.
Instruments: K-2 children will need a half sized (30”-34”), nylon-strung acoustic guitar for the program, such as this:

Please retain your receipts in the unfortunate case that the class does not meet our 4 student minimum.
Instrument rental for use during class is available. Rental fee is $20 for the 6 week session.

The Town Wide Tag Sale is Saturday, June 14th from 8AM - 12PM.
There will be tables set up at John Pettibone Community Center, 2 Pickett District Rd in addition to those having tag sales at their home!
A link to the map of houses included in this event will be available once registration has closed. Addresses will also be listed below.
Vendors can begin setting up at 7 AM.
All houses registered will be added to our town-wide tag sale map.
All interested participants must register by June 12th to be included on the map.
There are several ways for you to be a part of this town-wide event...
1) Have a tag sale at your house.

To take full advantage of all promotions, you must pre-register for this event. The registration fee will cover advertising, sign for you to post for your sale, and inclusion on our town map so people can find your sale. A registration fee also applies to seller tables at the John Pettibone Community Center.

If you enjoy watching and listening to birds and want to help them, please come, discover ways to make your property bird-friendly. We will identify some of the birds that live in our area, and discuss how to help them by providing the plants they depend on. Bring a 2-liter soda bottle or a similar container if you would like to make a birdhouse to bring home. Sponsored by the New Milford Garden Club.

Learn the history of honey harvest, the history of purposeful beekeeping, hives of past and present, the composition of honey and why honey crystallized. What makes honey so dark or so light? How many varietals of honey are there? Why does honey crystallize? Why doesn't honey need to be pasteurized? Learn the answers to these questions and much more during this engaging talk and taste five varietals of honey from The Humble Bee Honey Company!

The New Milford Commission on the Arts hosts the third annual Arts Festival on the Green. It features over fifty fine artists and some artisans who exhibit their work from tents on the New Milford Green. Local dance, theatre, and music groups perform under a big tent near the bandstand. The event is free and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The New Milford Commission on the Arts invites artists to submit their work for its third annual Arts Festival on the Green, taking place on June 28, 2025.
The Arts Festival is a juried fine art and artisan show that also features performances by local students, as well as dance, theater, and music groups.
Artists may submit up to five images. Registration deadline is May 31, 2025.
