Learn to ID trees by their leaves, bark, and quirky traits—no botany degree required! Whether you're a nature nerd or just tree-curious, this walk promises plenty of 'aha' moments, forest fun, and a fresh way to see the green world around you.

Family Nature Walk @ Deer Pond Farm in Sherman
This astronomy program is organized by members of the Litchfield Hills Amateur Astronomy Club and the Mattatuck Astronomical Society. Weather permitting, there will be star gazing after the program. 8:00 p.m., A. B. Ceder Room. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. You are invited to bring your own telescope or binoculars. FREE… Donations will be accepted to help defray the Conservation Center’s programming expenses.

An open invitation for members of the Friends of Topsmead and their friends to scan the skies over the forest for a varierty of migrating hawks! Meet at the tent behind the shed adjacent to the Chase Cottage.
