Heatwaves & Hues, running from Friday, May 2 – Sunday, August 17. This vibrant exhibition will showcase works bursting with color and inspired by the warmth and energy of summer.

Gallery 25 Summer Art Show: Heatwaves & Hues
Come check out the Torrington Recreations 2025 Summer Concert Series at Coe Park! Over the course of 14 weeks, every Thursday, starting June 5th and running through September 4th, we will be hosting 14 different bands who will perform a range of different genres. Concerts will be held on the outside portico at the Coe Memorial Park (101 Litchfield Road) from 6pm-8pm. Bring your blankets, chairs, food and drinks to enjoy our concerts in the park!
Rob Glassman Band is an entertaining, high-energy jam band, performing songs that often flow from one song into the next, mixing standard jams, with lots of free-flowing, improvisational jams. RGB will be performing during, what Grateful Dead fans call "The Days Between," which begins August 1st (Jerry Garcia's Birthday), and culminates on August 9th (Jerry Garcia's passing).
2025 Summer Concert Series: Rob Glassman Band
Thursday, August 7th, at 6:30, 2nd Home welcomes back Sherry Steiner. Sherry describes her performance as soothing solo improvisational instrumental piano music, and we are very much looking forward to a relaxing evening. Kind of what 2nd Home was designed for. Great music, food, drinks, and relaxation. Come down and enjoy!

Friday, August 8th, at 7PM, John Mayock (https://johnmayockmusic.com/home) returns to 2nd Home. John is a singer, song stylist, and writer with deep roots in Folk, Rock, and Country music. An accomplished guitarist who also plays harmonica, mandolin, and piano, John has shared the stage with diverse artists including Greg Allman, NRBQ, Dar Williams, and Jonathan Edwards. His live performances reflect his love of music, and his repertoire is extensive and unique. As he likes to say, "It's all about the song." Come down and enjoy!

Wooden Spoon Carving Workshop
August 9th 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join us as we explore hand carving techniques and methods through a hands-on workshop at the Eric Sloane Museum. Have you ever wondered how hand carved spoons and bowls are created? This hands-on class will be taught by woodworking expert, Rick Liegl. Students will learn the basics of wood selection and design layout all while using traditional tools and methods to create a hand carved finished product. Pre-Registration is required. Open Call for the Big Show
This workshop will focus on analyzing composition, building a foundation in oil painting and creating the illusion of translucent objects on canvas. Work your way through the process of developing an underpainting and utilizing glazing techniques to bring out the true luminosity of glass and reflection.
