Description
Join us for "Civics & Conversation," a thought-provoking discussion series that delves into the core principles of American governance and civic engagement. This program will take place every Saturday in March 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Terryville Public Library. Led by experienced social studies educator Robert Nave, a former Teaching Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives, each session will cover a distinct topic: the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation, the Preamble and the seven Articles of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and Amendments 11 through 27. Participants are encouraged to engage in meaningful dialogue while enjoying coffee, tea, and light refreshments. Please note that attendance at all four sessions is required, and space is limited. In case of bad weather, a makeup date is scheduled for Saturday, April 4. This event is graciously supported by the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation.
