Christmas Bird Count 4Kids

Join LHAS Nature Explorers for the annual Christmas Bird Count 4Kids. Children and parents are invited to experience this free, wholesome family-centered citizen science adventure. We will meet at the White Memorial Foundation- A.B. Ceder Room for a brief orientation. Then, we will walk around the museum and Ogley Pond to count birds by sight, using binoculars, and sound, using the Merlin App. Afterward, we will gather back in the Ceder Room to tally the count and enjoy pizza, beverages, and donuts. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors, discover cool birds, and help scientists capture vital information about bird populations and trends! Wear warm jackets and boots. Binoculars will be provided.
