Beekeeping 101

 Sunday, March 1, 1 pm to 4 pm, at Mikes Bees LLC, 80 Holmes Road, Goshen, CT 06756

 Cost per person: $50 (Limit 25 seats available)

Interested in becoming a beekeeper? Learn about the honeybee, the hive, caring and feeding, treating for mites and preventative care. Learn how to install your bees, inspections, when to do what, winter prep and a lot more. All equipment, bee tools & equipment and protective gear will be available for purchase.

Note: This class will be held at Mikes Bees, LLC, located at 80 Holmes Road, Goshen, CT 06756.


 Chick Chat (Starting Your Own Backyard Poultry Flock) (2 options)

 Thursday, February 26, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm OR Thursday, March 12, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm

 Cost per person: $20 (Limit 30 seats available per session)

Please join us for an educational evening about starting your own backyard poultry flock. We will discuss chick essentials including proper care, nutrition, breed selection and more. We are partnering with Agriventures Agway to provide this class. Agriventures will be providing exclusive deals on feed, supplies, and chicks to start up your very own flock!

 

Introduction to Dog Grooming (2 options)

Thursday, March 5, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm OR Thursday, March 19, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm

Cost per person: $20 (Limit 30 seats available per session)

This course is designed for beginners and dog owners looking to build confidence in proper grooming practices. This hands-on class will cover essential grooming tools and how to correctly and safely use them for dogs with short coats, long coats, and wire coats. Participants will learn foundational techniques for brushing, bathing, coat maintenance, nail care, and handling, with an emphasis on canine comfort and safety. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and work hands-on with dogs.


Garden Planning Seed Starter Class (2 options)

 Tuesday, March 10, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm OR Tuesday, March 24, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm

Cost per person: $30 (Limit 30 seats per session)

Please join us for an educational garden planning and seed starting workshop. Learn tips and tricks for successful seed starting from an industry expert. We will provide seed-starting strips, soil, and seeds for you to bring your very own seedlings home. We are partnering with Agriventures Agway to provide this class. Agriventures will be providing exclusive deals on seeds, supplies, and more for attendees!


Easter Centerpiece Floral Arrangement Class (2 options)

Wednesday, April 1, 6 pm to 7:30 pm OR Thursday, April 2, 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the farm

Cost per person: $60 (Limit 25 seats available per session)

 Learn how to create your own Easter Floral Centerpiece for your holiday table. Step by step instructions will be given as you learn how to create your own masterpiece to take home with you and enjoy with your family on Easter. The colorful finished arrangement is approximately 12” wide and 22” long.
